Israel Must Stop Now!!! Hamas Must Stop Now!!!

Israeli and Palestinian Peace

CONSIDER THIS: I do not under any circumstances support what the Israeli government under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu has been doing in Palestine especially in the Gaza Strip.  But let me be very clear to those reading this and would translate that to mean that I’m somehow “anti-semitic” or “anti-Jewish” because I don’t support the Israeli government, shame on you for thinking so small.

There are Jews throughout the world as well as Israeli citizens who don’t support this government and what some would deem crimes against humanity.  So for me this is a human issues not an Jewish issue.  Let me further add, I do not under any circumstances support the actions of Hamas and their rhetoric of hatred and their corrupt leadership.  They are very wrong too.

You see, there’s a complex history when it comes to the formation of Israel in the 1940’s and the unwillingness of the European nations and the U.S. to force the creation of a Palestinian state at the same time.  The mistake was made then and the world is still paying for it now.  Some of you think this is about religious belief and ancient prophecy, that too is wrong thinking.  The only prophecy that’s taking place is the self fulfilling kind.  The kind that would continue to see this supposed prophecy to fruition at a cost to all humanity.

What this is, is a powder keg of human behaviour that has caused nothing but pain and suffering on all sides.  True leadership on the part of Israel and Hamas would be working towards to diplomatic solutions of compromise.  Until that happens we will continue to see what we’re seeing now. Pain, suffering, fear and needless deaths.

But when it’s all said and done, it will be the Children of Israel and the Children of Palestine who will loose everything.  And that is where the real shame and sadness resides.

An Open Letter To White Male America

White men in America who lost elections on 6th November, why are you so angry?  What happened to your sense of fairness and belief in the American way?  What happened to your belief in the Constitution and the voice of the people through the ballot box?  What happened to your belief that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL or does that really mean that ALL White men are created equal and everyone else is just one step below that?

I ask these questions because you have fought hard in the sphere of public opinion and media propaganda to convince those who don’t look like you that you really love all of us and that we should continue to blindly follow your form of leadership and political representation.  I really don’t want you to be mad with us Mr. White American Male.  Do you not realise how much the people who don’t look like you LOVE and WORSHIP you everyday of their existence in this nation and arguably in this world?

Do you not understand that we have always sought to be like YOU and do everything in our power consciously and unconsciously via our sub-cultures to emulate you and assimilate to your world view?  We spend your money, support your policies even when we say we don’t, buy your products although we get paid very little for the work we do to produce them and we worship your God and gods and we defend those beliefs with our lives knowing that believing in such things have never worked to our advantage.

So, why you mad bro?  I just don’t get it.  You can’t ask for more than what you currently have.  You have a nation of citizens who still dance to your drum.  You still have power, regardless of the drop in your population.  You control education, text books, how history is taught to our youth and more than anything you control the images of those who are not White and how they are portrayed to our nation and the world.

Again, I ask, why you mad bro?  Man you need to stop trippin’.  You are in the Cat Birds Seat and have been for centuries.  Don’t fret, the people will continue to follow your lead because you will change your tactics, your message and your strategies to appease the people while still remaining in power.

That said, I bid you well because I have never believed a damned thing you’ve ever said.  But just because you don’t have me under your mind control doesn’t mean that countless others won’t continue to believe in your perspective and what you represent.  Keep on keeping on and do you bro.  Those of us who know better will also do what we must to insure a future that’s in our best interest.  It’s what you’d do, right?

Happy 94th Birthday to the One and Only Nelson Mandela

“During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.” ― Nelson Mandela

Android this week: Nexus 7 tablet arrives; Jelly Bean is sweet; Apple fights back

For the Android crowd, this was an eventful week, thanks to the many announcements and developments at the Google I/O(s goog) event. Our full recap is here, but a few bits stood out from the crowd in terms of both hardware and software. The Nexus 7 tablet went from rumor to reality, with Google debuting the Asus-built 7-inch slate at a low price of $199. My initial impressions of the review unit I received? This will attract potential Kindle Fire(s amzn) purchasers and Android tablet fans alike.

Few, if any, of the hardware components will surprise those that follow Android as the leaked specifications proved true. The 7-inch slate is built on Nvidia’s low cost Kai platform, using the Tegra 3(s nvda) system on a chip: a quad-core processor with a low powered fifth core and 12 graphics cores. The 1280 x 800 resolution screen looks good…

Cloud computing for the people? It’s called SaaS.

Cloud-based servers simple enough to be at the beck and call of every Joe Schmo off the street are a compelling vision, but presently not a realistic one. At this point, in fact, one could argue that the holy grail of the consumer cloud has already been realized. In the business world, it’s called software as a service, but the rest of the world just knows it as “the cloud.”

In a blog post on Thursday, Anil Dash laid out a vision that pretty much boils down to this quote: “[W]e need a consumer cloud offering. An app store for EC2 or a marketplace for Rackspace (s rax). The same one-click stores that offer us easy apps on our own local devices should let us purchase consumer-friendly apps that run on our own individual cloud servers.” It reads well, but until cloud computing prices drop far enough that individual servers cost next…

COMMUNITY PSA: I receive a LOT of requests from people to write/blog about or post various things on my facebook page. Some times I do it but most times I don’t. This particular situation was brought to my attention last week. I think it’s more than worthy of my wall and your time to read and discuss.

The BIG take away from the blog is, “Don’t patronize Downtown Sports Bar and Grill in Raleigh, NC.” It seems that they had a brain fart and imagined that it was 1960’s America again. You know that wonderfully nostalgic time in American history when Negro’s and Blanco’s couldn’t “legally” occupy the same space and time.

Now mind you the author of this blog is Blanco and the person affected most by the incident was Negro and a Morehouse man.

That said, read the blog and tell me what you think. What say YE?!!!

Philip Christman

Just received the following email from a dear friend and coworker. He sent it to a local TV news channel, and I am posting it here in case they don’t do anything with it.

The takeaway: Don’t patronize Downtown Sports Bar and Grill in Raleigh, NC. Also, if you’re white and you’re the only person in the restaurant, you might want to ask around to make sure your favorite establishments aren’t pulling this kind of shit.

As for Jonathan, he’s a former student of mine. I call him “Mr. President” because he’s one of the most intimidatingly accomplished and polished undergrads I’ve ever met. He’s also one of the nicest people I know. He wouldn’t lie about something like this.

My name is Jonathan Wall, and I am a 21 year old black male from Raleigh, NC. I was born and raised here, and just a few weeks ago I…

Nigerian president says Boko Haram wants to destabilise govt.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday said Islamist group Boko Haram was seeking to incite a religious crisis by attacking churches in an attempt to destabilise the government.

“Terrorists all over the world have one common agenda: destabilising government,” he said during a question-and-answer session on national television.

Jonathan, who has come under heavy criticism in recent days over spiralling violence in the country’s north, described how the group had moved from targeting local rivals to government institutions and now churches.

He said earlier waves of attacks had not brought down the government, leading the group to target churches in Africa’s most populous nation, roughly divided between a mainly Muslim north and predominately Christian south.

“Attacking churches is to instigate religious crisis,” Jonathan said. “They believe that when they attack a church, Christian youths will revolt against Muslim youths. They don’t care about…

Our Muslim brothers!

Sam's Life

This editorial by Jewish political leader, writer and peace activist Uri Avnery appeared in today’s Saudi national publication ArabNews. I was so impressed that I’m copying it here on my blog. My heart rejoices! Now is the time for Middle East peace! ~ Sam

“Our Muslim Brothers” by Jewish peace activist Uri Avnery

Everybody knows by now why we are stuck in Palestine. When God instructed Moses to plead with Pharaoh to let his people go, Moses told him that he was unfit for the job because “I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue” (Exodus 4:10).

Actually, in the Hebrew original, Moses told God that he was “heavy of the mouth and heavy of the tongue.” He should have told Him that he was also heavy of the ears. So when God told him to take his people to Canada, he took his people to Canaan…
